Kortne & Patrick met in the hallways of their high school in between classes and study hall. It wasn’t the romantic rom-com scene you’d imagine. Instead, as young and busy as they were their paths crossed only at school. The years went by without either one of them really getting to know each other.
In 2007 they graduated and life took them down very different paths. Neither one of them knew that they were leaving behind their soul mate. College, jobs, and life kept them moving forward. It wouldn’t be until nearly a decade when their paths would cross again. This time, things were different…
They were older, wiser, and adults now. It didn’t take long after that for them to fall in love. That maturity and experience made their love deep and strong. It wasn’t too long after that before Kortne joined him in North Carolina so they could be together.
Patrick knew quickly he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. So, he started planning the perfect proposal! Every year at Christmas, they come home and go for a morning drive, just the two of them. While they’re out the do a private gift exchange. Of course, it made sense for him to hide the ring inside her gift! Talk about a Christmas to remember!!
That day they drove out to Marsh Creek, the most gorgeous backdrop. As she opened her gift the shock spread across her face. He dropped to one knee and popped the question! Of course, she enthusiastically said, “yes!!!” It was such an honor to witness this incredible moment in their lives together!
We had so much fun getting to capture the big moment and do a fun photo shoot with them after. It was such a gorgeous day at Marsh Creek and the two of them were so sweet! Just wait until you see the joy and love these two have together. It is absolutely incredible!!
