I’m a Philadelphia Wedding Photographer who has been able to capture and document so many beautiful love stories all across the East Coast. Today’s however, takes place in my beautiful city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with Sydney and Sean. Their Down Town Club Philadelphia wedding was absolutely breathtaking. From the moment I met Sydney and Sean during their engagement photos to this point, I knew that everything would come together to be an absolute dream.

The Love Story of Sydney & Sean

Sydney and Sean first met back at a party while attending Penn State. At first, while their reaction was brief it was almost an instant connection. It wasn’t until a few weeks later that the two were reunited once again. They began spending a significant amount of time together and their feelings only grew stronger and stronger. Over the years after graduating college, going through a long-distance relationship, and starting new careers, these two made it through better than ever.

It was the beginning of February when the proposal happened. More specifically, Valentine’s Day weekend. Sean had surprised Sydney with a trip to an art museum to meet up with friends for drinks. Little did Sydney know that the art museum was where both their lives would change forever. It was here that Sean dropped to one knee and asked Sydney to marry him. A happy and excited Sydney of course said yes and was surprised by Sean’s sister and husband who were taking photos of the entire occasion. They spent that night “getting drinks” which was a code word for a surprise engagement party with all of their family and friends. It was a night that both of them would never forget which led us to this beautiful wedding day at The Down Town Club.

A Down Town Club Wedding with Sydney & Sean

Sydney and Sean chose to have a Down Town Club wedding because they really enjoyed the idea of having an all-inclusive wedding venue. The Down Town Club by Cescaphe was the perfect Philadelphia wedding venue for them on their wedding day and I couldn’t agree more.

Sydney and Sean spent the morning of their wedding getting ready at The Hotel Monaco in Philadelphia. Sydney and Sean were wanting their wedding to be classic and elegant. So their color palette was incredibly neutral with stunning creams and whites with a pop of blush pinks throughout their details and florals by Beautiful Blooms Events.

After spending the morning getting ready, we had Sydney meet up with Sean for some couples portraits out and about in Downtown Philadelphia. Despite the fact that it was a bit rainy that day, we made sure to pack some umbrellas and enjoy the beautiful city vibes for their portraits. These two were absolute MODELS in front of the camera, so not much work had to be done there.

Their ceremony and reception at the Down Town Club by Cescaphe were beautiful. Surrounding them were their friends and family cheering on their love story and knowing that they had waited so long for this touching moment. Held in this grand open space was their reception where everyone spent dancing the night away. Sydney even got behind the DJ booth to spin some verses too – LOL. All in all, their wedding day was one I will forever be grateful I got to capture.
