As a Philadelphia wedding photographer, I’ve been huddled up in my editing cave getting through all of my beautiful Fall and Winter weddings from 2023. And oooo do we have a good one today. Cat and Feng shared the most breathtaking Fall wedding at The Arts Ballroom in Philadelphia, PA. With such a luxurious wedding space and a romance-novel love story, it was the perfect way to celebrate their special day with their friends and family!

Leading With Intention For Your Philadelphia Wedding
One of the most important things that you can do for your wedding day is focus on intention. You may hear the word “intention” thrown around a lot in the wedding photography world, but what exactly does it mean? To sum it up, it means to lead with reason. Do things because it means something to you, your partner, and/or your story rather than focusing on just what “looks good”. While looking good and reaching your dream aesthetic can be a goal, I can tell you that from experience, couples who lead with intention on their wedding day never forget even the smallest of moments.
Cat + Feng’s Philadelphia Wedding at The Arts Ballroom
For Cat and Feng it was evident that their wedding day from beginning to end was done with the utmost attention to detail. Their wedding day flew up on my calendar as fast as lighting and just like that, we were gearing up for a day filled with festivities. At The Arts Ballroom, you will find an on-site getting-ready suite. Here is where I met up with Cat and Feng to start off their wedding day and celebrate their marriage. The Arts Ballroom has plenty of photo opportunity space. So once everyone was done getting ready we fully utilized every inch that we had. One of the main stars is the grand granite staircase leading to their ceremony/reception space. Their vibrant floral color palette added the perfect pop of color for the rest of their traditional and classic wedding theme. To me, this day was pure bliss.
A standout portion of their wedding day surrounded their ceremony and reception. As a small tribute to their love for “plushies” aka incredibly cute stuffed animals, Cat and Feng wanted to incorporate them into their wedding day. At the ceremony, plush stuffed animals were thrown into the crowd and later on used during Cat’s bouquet toss during the reception. While it does not fit typical wedding tradition, who cares?! It represents them, what they love and that’s what matters the most when celebrating your special day.
