About The Clarks Landing Yacht Club Wedding Venue
847 Arnold Ave, Point Pleasant, New Jersey 08742
Before I tell you about Kate and Evan’s wedding, let’s get into the history of the Clarks Landing Yacht Club. This venue is a part of the Beau Truesdale Wedding Venues collection, but it’s quickly become the darling of the bunch. The crew brings their planning expertise to this space, giving you waterfront views with black tie treatment. Not only will you have a gorgeous locale and a seamless day, but you are also going to have some of the best food around, thanks to Hassan A. Mohamed, their Certified Executive Chef. Trust me, people are going to be talking about your wedding for years to come.

Now, on to the couple themselves. Part of the fun of my job is getting to chat with couples and find out more about their love story. When I asked Kate about this, she gave me all the details!
We both went to Syracuse and got set up by my best friend and bridesmaid, Alicia, for my sorority date night. We hit it off immediately. Everyone says we had heart eyes, stumbling in drunk from the night. Evan really tried to date me, but I had just gotten out of a very long-term relationship, so I was unsure – that said, he completely wore me down and now, almost six years later, here we are, living together in Boston and planning a wedding! If you’re thinking, why New Jersey when we live in Boston, it’s because I grew up going to Spring Lake, and Evan also grew up on the Jersey Shore, it’s actually where he first told me he loved me.

Details of the Grounds
Kate and Evan are a couple brimming with bright personalities, and their Clarks Landing Yacht Club wedding gave them the best opportunity to show this off! Before their wedding, their guests were treated to the best invitations I have ever seen in my entire career. The customized stationery set the scene for the day with hand-crafted paintings showing off the shore.

When their wedding day finally arrived this July, the energy was already palpable. We started things off as Kate put on all the finishing touches. By the way, this venue offers a beauty salon filled with bright lights and neutral colors inside the bridal suite. It is ideal for your bridal portraits! As Kate got ready with her bridal party, they danced and shared a toast while crying happy tears.

Before their ceremony began, the two shared an intimate moment on the porch for their first look pictures. During the reveal, the yachts sailing across the water provided a serene backdrop!

Their ceremony took place in the clubhouse. This space was designed to show off the water without all the inconveniences of an actual outdoor vow exchange. The stage has been set up in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows, offering a panoramic view of the waters. The couple said their I dos, then shared a kiss before moving on to celebrating!

The reception took place in the ballroom, kicking things off with the couple’s grand entrance down the staircase. Immediately, the vibes were off the charts. Both Kate and Evan are so perfectly themselves, and their personality stayed on full display for hours. We listened to heartfelt speeches, ate the most delicious food, and then spent the rest of the evening dancing as the sunset over the water just outside the windows. To find a wedding this marvelous and unique is a rare thing indeed!

Photography Opportunities
With Clarks Landing Yacht Club, there will be endless spots to take pictures ahead of your wedding. As a photographer, I was immediately struck by the floor-to-ceiling windows that let in streams of natural light. When combined with the light color palette of the building, it served as the best backdrop throughout every portion of the wedding day.

After Kate finished putting on all the finishing touches, we headed outside so she could get pictures in her gown. We used the entrance of the building for this portion, with her veil softly floating in the breeze. With the French doors in the background, it was positively dreamy!

For Evan, we used the pier for pictures with his party. It was large enough to fit him and his eight groomsmen! We also used this spot for couple’s portraits as seagulls flew above us.

The exterior of the clubhouse offered a few more ideal spots for their portraits. The balcony overlooking the water was ideal for a shared kiss before the reception. Additionally, the porch was the dreamiest spot for their grand reveal!
