Sydney and Sean have that kind of love that is seen only in a Nicholas Sparks movie. Their love truly does radiate and that was mainly what they wanted to show throughout their entire engagement session. When Sydney and Sean first reached out to me, I nearly fell out of my chair. Okay, not really… but you get the point. I was excited, what can I say! Their overall vision was right up my alley and I was determined to make it happen. When trying to figure out where to have their engagement session, we wanted some place with a ton of nature & greenery. Two of my favorite things! It only was fitting to have their engagement at The Manor House at Prophecy Creek, one of my favorite venues. Sydney and Sean’s Manor House at Prophecy Creek Engagement was one I will never get over, and hopefully you won’t either.
Sydney & Sean’s Love Story
They met in college when they both attended Penn State. It was on one of the first nights of their freshman year that these two met for the first time. For Sean, Sydney was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. Their time together was short as he was stolen away from the conversation with Sydney. It wouldn’t be until weeks later when they ran into each other again. They spent all night talking and learning more about one another, from there the relationship began to flourish. In good ol’ college fashion, their dates consisted of trips to the dining hall, occasional movie nights on their laptops and bus rides to class together. Everything for them was pure and utter bliss.
Once their junior year hit, they both decided to study abroad in two different countries in Europe. This essentially led them to go their own separate ways… but not for long. Fate brought them together once again as they both bumped into each other one week in Capri, Italy. It was then that they realized that they could no longer be apart. During the summers they experienced the woes of long distances, but still managed to keep their love alive and thriving. It wasn’t until after graduating college that they both decided to take the next step and move in together. Their love just couldn’t stay apart any longer!
Surprise Proposal
Here comes February of 2022. Sydney was recovering from surgery and was cleared to finally be off bed rest. Throughout their entire relationship, Sydney knew Sean would keep her on her toes, but didn’t know to what extent. Sean surprised Sydney with a trip to an art museum and that is where he dropped to one knee and popped the question. After of course saying yes, Sydney was met with her friends and family that flew out to celebrate this next step in their journey.
Over the years, these two have developed such a lighthearted and fun relationship. Through the ups and downs of life, these two support each other through navigating these different stages in their lives. They balance each other in the absolute best way possible and if that’s not telling to their love story, then I don’t know what is.

So you most likely will see me cracking a few jokes and being your ultimate hype woman, because that’s going to be the way we loosen you up. Not only is the experience during the session important, but also the experience leading up to the actual session. I ensure working with all of my couples that any questions they have are taken care of. I provide resources for all of my couples like what to wear to your engagement session and best practices to ensure you are in tip top shape for your engagement photos. It’s not just about the actual day of your shoot, it’s about creating an experience for everyone.
“I am SO glad you could capture some of my favorite qualities of our relationship through your photography!”
While working with Sydney and Sean you could just tell these two were head over heels in love. It was such a beautiful day and we couldn’t have asked for one better. They were down for just about anything and really wanted to focus on showcasing their candid, fun-loving nature.
I am so ecstatic with how these photos turned out and I am counting down the days until I get to capture Sydney and Sean’s wedding at The Downtown Club by Cescaphe!
